Girls Road Trip

“Last year I went skydiving for my birthday. This year I want a past life regression!” said Kirsten during our first contact over the phone. That feeling of excitement permeated our talk and her plans that evolved into a road trip from her home base of Portland. Eventually those plans included her best friend, Faith, and we scheduled sessions on two consecutive days.

Neither of these lovely ladies had been to Ashland, so arriving in this small country town was the beginning of a softening of their systems. I could hear the trepidation in Kirsten’s voice the night before, however, and I eased her with the reminder that she would only see what she could handle and could derive meaning from. After a long drive, she and Faith decided to chill in their hotel room, relaxing and preparing for their appointments with me.

Kirsten had decided to go first, and the next day I opened my door to a badass retired DJ with a huge smile and open heart. We sat down and talked about her life and reasons for wanting quantum healing. She felt like she had done a lot of inner work to process her trauma and was now ready to step onto the path that was meant for her. Kirsten was willing to not only hear what her Higher Self had to say, but to take steps to put the message into action. Perfect.

Just as I had thought, Kirsten began to vividly explore her past lives with a sense of ease and safety. One of the lives she described was that of an indigenous young man who lived in an island tribe. The seemingly peaceful village of about thirty had to quickly escape when a volcano erupted. As the island started to sink, he was the one to help everyone into canoes that she swam alongside because there was no place for him. Indeed this sacrificial helper spirit is still an aspect of Kirsten’s life now. Her Higher Self later revealed that the wisdom from that life is to remind her that she has been and already is brave, and can continue to tap into her bravery.

The following morning, a beautiful blonde motorcycle mechanic named Faith showed up at my cabin. She was clearly badass in her own way and reported to me that she had just completed a very restorative yoga practice that morning, ending with a deep release into savasana. We spoke of her childhood in Iowa and what she hoped to get out of the session. Just like her soul sister, Kirsten, she had been working with some different modalities to make peace with her past and felt it was time for a dynamic shift into the next level of her life.

Faith was able to visit a variety of places and times in her rich past life exploration with me. One amazing life she described in our session was that of a vibrant young woman. The first thing she focused on in delightful detail was a big black felt hat with a pheasant feather that she wore in the name of adventure. She carried a gun and was delivering a message that someone was to be hanged, a young black man who worked for her family. In an effort to warn him, great upheaval ensued and her own house and younger brother were burned in a hateful fire. She got on her horse and galloped far away from the unrest, as far away as the California coast, where she lived the rest of her life out as a joyful gypsy. Faith was reminded of her own strength from that life, where she had lost everything and had nothing else to choose to be but strong.

These are just glimpses of what we saw in both of the back-to-back sessions I facilitated. I was overcome by the intention that both of these ladies brought with them and the magnitude of the messages they received from their Higher Selves. Kirsten was guided to follow her inclination to create a non-profit to serve the homeless in her area. Faith was empowered by her tremendous talent to create music as her life’s work. After both sessions were complete, they meandered through town and found the perfect hat to remind them of their strength, bravery, and illuminated way forward.
